Imagine we have a stall in our barn where we keep our cow. We put nice clean straw on the floor to make our cow comfortable. Our cow does some biiiiiig poopies. The straw gets dirty. So we put new clean straw on top of the poopies. Now you would think the cow would try to keep her new straw clean but noooo...she does more poopies on top of the clean straw. The old poopies are still under the straw so now the straw is getting dirty from both sides...so we have to put clean straw in sooner than before. Before long you have a deep pile of straw poopie that just won't stay clean so you have to shovel all the straw and poopie out, and start back with a clean stall.
That is how government works. It isn't a clean easy job...because there are so many different people and variables...it will always be a little messy. But if we leave the same people in office, and then just add a few new ones each election, the new guys quickly become soiled by the veterans and the system that is in place. In America, with each election, we have been putting a little, tiny bit of new clean straw on top of a big pile of old poopie for just over two hundred years. Our clean straw quickly becomes part of the big pile of poopie. Now it is time to shovel out the stall...We are going to have an election where there will be no incumbants, and no one who has held public office before can run for office this round. Every person from local officials up to the president of the United States will be some one who is new to politics. We will be starting with a fresh clean stall. Mmmmm...doesn't that smell nice. No more poopies.
Now that's what I call change. The change that has been happening in American politics is just a label change. Republican, then Democrat, then back to Repulican, then back to Democrat...different labels...but the same pile of poopies. This time we won't change the label...we'll change the poopies.
Have fun with the new changes,
Your's always,
The King

Restrictions on Electronics
Alright, I don't like governmental bodies getting involved in day-to-day activities...but, since they are...let's equalize it. The government closely watches healthcare, financial groups, food and drug, and the automobile industry...but for some reason, the electronics industry is allowed to put out on the market any half-baked idea they've come up with, even if it isn't completely developed or functional. Come on people. This has got to stop. If you want to sell a product, make it work first. Be ethical. Think of the end user. Let us not be selfish. I could put a car on the market today that runs on dirt...the problem is, I don't know how to make it acutally run. So obviously, I don't try to sell it. So likewise, if you have an electronics idea...like most of the computers today, figure out how to make it work more consistently before you put it on the market.

A Stabalizing Hand, Not a Hand-out
So many of the charities, and programs today, especially those ran by governments, tend to give hand outs to people. They make the people dependent on them instead of helping the people to become strong and self-sustaining. They pick the people up and carry them over the bumps that lie in life's paths and make the people weaker. What we really need is programs, policies, and charities that just give a stabilizing hand, but allow people to continue to grow and become stronger on their own.
I would like to share with you two of these that I support whole heartedly.
1. The Central Asia Institute: https://www.ikat.org/
This is a group that build schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan and is fighting the war against terror in a much more peaceful and, I believe, sustainable way than the governments. They are teaching the girls as well, which is something that had been neglected for some time. In just a few short years they have noticed amazing growth and advancement in some of the small mountain villages...not because a different culture was taught to the kids, but just because they were given knowledge and not left ignorant. It gives these children and their families hope in life, a reason to live and something to look forward to. And this they have done with a small amount of money. If they had the funds available for building, that governments have used to destroy, I believe the middle east and central Asia could be on their way to a whole new peaceful existence...something they haven't had in centuries.
2. The Smile Train: http://www.smiletrain.org/site/PageServer
This is a group that teaches Doctors in countries around the world to do a cleft pallet repair surgery which enables an otherwise normal child to have a normal life, in place of a life of shame and abandonment. They then fund those doctors to be able to provide the surgery free of charge to the children in need. They are affecting the lives of hundreds of thousands of children in an incomprehensible way.
I urge everyone to support these causes that help people and societies to grow and develop much more than they ever could have on there own. Not leaving them dependant on others, instead encouraging Independence.

A New Variation On An Old Sport
I had the privilege of witnessing the invention of a new, All American Sport...or at least the improvement on one. Let me start by describing the competition:
Rugby: Full contact/no pads/very cool
Football: Full contact/some pads but hard hitting/still cool
Hockey: Full contact/some pads but serious body checking/still cool
Soccer: Limited contact but still fast paced and with some body checking/still cool
Basketball: Limited contact but still fast paced and some bullying for position/still cool
Golf: Well, there's really no hope for that...it's not even really a sport, I don't think
Baseball: Lots of fans, lots of potential, but way too slow, and I hate to say it, but somewhat boring, (sorry baseball fans, no offense meant, keep reading), /rates right up there with sitting on a rocking chair on your front porch/not bad...but not cool
So the other night I notice two amazing athletes, Alex John and Tristan John. One of them picks up a bat and ball. Oh...so they're going to play a boring (sorry again baseball fans) game of baseball. NOT SO! They are going to play...Get ready for this...Drum roll please..."FULL CONTACT, TACKLE, BASEBALL!!! Sweet! What a game. Now that rivals any other sport out there.
They start by backing away from each other about twice the distance they can hit the ball...then, the guy with the bat and ball hits the ball towards the middle. Then they both run at full speed and dive on the ball, or on the opponent if he got there first, or if you're getting there at the same time you just throw yourself at the ball and hope for the best...OUCH! Then you wrestle around for a minute and the first guy to get to his feet with the ball gets to be the next to bat. It is a great sport and easily expandable to any number of players. You can even play teams or all-against-all. Try it at your next get together...it is sure to be a real crowd pleaser!
Enjoy playing the New American Pass Time,
FULL CONTACT, TACKLE, BASEBALL

A Voice of Warning to the Once Great United States of America
I would like to start by quoting a few paragraphs from a high school history book printed in 1985:
Decline of Spain
"New World riches led to Spain's golden age and also to its downfall. With more gold to spend, prices quadrupled. Since the farmers and small merchants received no part of the New World's gold and silver, they could not pay such high prices.
The Spanish rulers did not help farmers. Nor did the government encourage Spaniards to produce goods for themselves. Both food and soldiers' uniforms were bought from other countries. The government kept spending more money to pay for costly wars. Spain was constantly in debt and kept raising taxes to pay interest on those debts. Its money flowed into the pockets of foreigners.
Spain soon felt the pain of inflation. Most Spaniards found that the money they earned bought less and less. Revolts occurred in different parts of Spain. Many talented people left the country. Others died in European wars.
By the end of the 1500's, Spain's power had weakened. Among the reasons for its decline were: 1) the effects of inflation, 2) the decline of Spain's population, 3) the expense in lives and money for war, 4) leaders who cared too much about their own personal interests and did not plan well for the future of Spain. The Spanish rulers had looked only at their country's present condition, not its future."
I don't think I need to point out the similarities of what the United States has gone through up to this point...and unless "we the people" change...where we are going. I have seen similar accounts of the rise and fall of other great empires. It seem that it is a common cycle as natural as any other in nature...and we too have fallen prey to it. These are facts that were taught on a high school level 24 years ago and still our politicians and public continue to march down the same road. Take note of the causes for Spain's decline...and let's make some changes so we don't continue our fall.
Pleading for your help,
The King

Don't Worry, Be Happy, and Just Flow...
I had an uncle who used to rattle off a little phrase every time he saw me getting frustrated: "Don't sweat the small stuff, everything is small stuff, if you can't run from it, if you can't fight it, FLOW....." It used to drive me crazy when he would say this because my predicaments were so terrible...or so I thought. Later in life, it has come to make a lot of sense.
A Buddhist lama put it something like this: "There is no need to worry or get up set. Whenever a problem arises, you pretty much have two possibilities...either you can fix it, or you can't. If you can fix it, then there is no need to worry or get upset, just fix it, and move on with life. If you can't fix it, then there is no need to worry or get upset, that won't fix anything, you need to just accept it, and move on with the new scenario you've been given.
The Indian mystic and sage Meher Baba (1894-1969) often used the expression "Don't worry, be happy" when cabling his followers in the West.[1] Later, in the 1960s, this well used expression by Baba was printed up on inspiration cards and posters of the era. In 1988, Bobby McFerrin noticed a similar poster in the apartment of the jazz band Tuck & Patti in San Francisco. Inspired by the expression's charm and simplicity, McFerrin wrote the now famous song, "Don't Worry, Be Happy". (thanks wikipedia)
A Christian Prophet once wrote that, "Men are (or exist), that they might have joy." Our purpose in life is to be happy. So don't worry, be happy, just flow, whatever our circumstances, there is no reason to be sad. Either fix it and move on, or just move on...either way, don't worry, be happy!
Have a happy day,
The King

Instead of more credit...we need less credit
The elected officials seem to think that in order to get out of debt, and ease our disastrous credit situation, it will help to go in debt further. That has never worked with my personal finances...It always seems that the more money I spend that I don't have, the deeper I get in debt and the deeper I get in financial mayhem. But maybe it works differently for governments. Let's test some other scenarios:
1. I have a severed artery...I am losing blood fast...to increase my blood supply and my well being I should...
A. Close off the existing whole.
B. Cut open another artery.
2. I have a ranch with lots of cattle...I leave the too many gates open...I am losing lots of cattle. To fix this problem I should...
A. Close the gates.
B. Open more gates.
3. My homes' water supply is from a well which replenishes at a limited rate...I have left several faucets turned on and I am running out of water...To remedy the situation and replenish my well I should...
A. Turn off the faucets.
B. Turn on more faucets.
If you chose choice A on the above scenarios: Congratulations!!! You have a higher IQ than our current politicians.
If you chose choice B on any of the above scenarios: Congratulation!!! You are now qualified to run for public office.
As can clearly be seen through the above examples, in order to fix our current financial problems, we need to cut back a little on our frivolous spending, and on all the excesses for sure. To assist in this, I am issuing a decree that...there will be no more credit other than homes, cars, and education...and these will be limited to that which makes sense. No more credit for big screen TVs, new cell phones, fancy clothes, video game systems, vacations, etc. We are going to institute a new concept...or should I say an old concept that has been forgotten. It is called "delayed gratification", or "saving". It is where you earn something before you get it. Like in school...you have to work and learn...you don't start out with all the smarts...what would be the point of school then. And in life...you don't start out with all the goodies. First you work, then you save, then you buy. I know it is kind-of old fashioned thinking and won't make sense to many at first, but we'll all catch on eventually. So...start saving. And don't just wait to enjoy the destination...enjoy the journey!
Sincerely yours,
The King

So much to lose, So much to gain
One of my faithful subjects mentioned to me last week that he felt the time was soon, that tax payers would again stand up and revolt at the way the American government is handling things. He was speaking of an actual revolt, including violent uprisings and people refusing to pay taxes.
As King, I hope it never has to come down to that...because there would definitely be sadness involved...and I like people to be happy. So I started contemplating whether I thought this could happen. I decided that I didn't think it would...unless things get a lot worse...which they could.
But the reason I decided I didn't think it would happen is that your average American has so much to lose today. If you look back to our founding fathers and the circumstances they were living under, they didn't have a whole lot to lose. They were faced with the constant possibility of close family and friends dying of cholera, malaria, yellow fever, or small pox to name a few. Your animals could die during the winter, your crops could freeze or suffer drought or be eaten by bugs, which meant you went without. You couldn't just run down to the local grocery store and buy some food shipped in from some far off place not affected by the conditions you were facing. There were no heated/air conditioned automobiles with soft/heated seats, and a nice smooth ride, where you could just press a button and hear the symphony playing as you rode along. There weren't huge walk-in closets packed full of beautiful clothes. There weren't jetted, heated tubs. There weren't two and three car garages. No heated water on demand, or even drinkable water on demand. There wasn't an air conditioner or heater in the homes. Most people lost teeth by their 40's. You couldn't pop a pill to fix all the aches, coughs, or sneezes. They didn't have big soft couches with enormous flat screen TVs. They didn't have dish washers, or even clothes washers for that matter. Fast food meant that the chicken you were eating for dinner died quickly so dinner was ready in only 3 hours. They didn't have all the sugar and chocolate laden goodies that to us are desserts and junk food we down multiple times a day, but to them would have been food for the Gods only tasted occasionally by royalty. And on top of all that, they had an oppressive government that never gave them what they needed. They didn't have much to lose by rebelling...even giving their lives would have come as a relief.
Where as today, the average American has all these enormous luxuries and comforts. We are currently in one of the biggest economic downturns in decades. I was in Michigan last weekend (where the economic downturn started several years ago) and every restaurant was full to capacity. The shopping mall parking lots were packed as well. New high end shopping malls and subdivisions were under construction. People were out spending money as if they thought they were the American government and that money just grew on trees, or could just be printed at will, or could be borrowed and over borrowed with no lasting consequence.
I think we have a lot to lose today. People don't want to stand up and fight for real change because it is uncomfortable. It isn't easy like their current lives. It is often painful...and if it did cost them their life...well, that's not even an option. So we have too much to lose. No one is going to stand up and rebel or fight. Especially if the government continues to take better and better care of us, even when we the people make bad choices.
It is time for a paradigm shift. It is time for a change in priorities. It is time to involve compassion in place of compromise in our principals. It is time to get back to actually having principles such as honesty, integrity, service, quality, patience, and compassion. Instead of looking at them as someone else's belief system, we should look at them as natural laws as integral in our lives as gravity. They should be taught in schools, in public places, and especially in the home. They should be lived by politicians, celebrities, intellectuals, business leaders...by all.
Let's make a change.

The King

Overriding the Bailout
As King of America, I'm afraid I'm going to have to step in and override the way the bailout, that congress and the president have given us, is being spent. Instead of divvying it up in such a way
that no one will know where it all went or how it was spent, we are going to dump 100% of it into energy. We will do this by installing either wind turbines or photovoltaics on every household in America. That will include installing them on large apartment buildings and Condominum buildings. We will be using the current bailout as well as taking back the ones that started the end of last year that have been so disrespectfully mismanaged. That will give us about a 2 trillion dollar working budget and with approximately 111,162,259 households in America today, and the necessary systems to be installed being an average of $20,ooo per household, that will break us just about even. The higher values of homes will bring in a small increase in taxes that will be used to pay off this rediculously large loan we are giving ourselves. Every one will have anywhere from 80% to 100+% of their energy bill provided for through renewable means which will help preserve our environment. This will raise the value of each dwelling by roughly $20,000 which we will mandate as past/future monthly payments on mortgages and or rent. This should eleviate much of the foreclosure
problem and give families and individuals a year or two to get their situation remedied. This will also provide several million jobs installing and maintaining these services. With it now being such an intigral part of our society, it will also create jobs in research to improve the existing systems. The new, updated, systems will be marketed which will create jobs in advertising and marketing.

We should all be able to benefit from this, especially long term, and definately more than we would have through the plan that congress and the president gave us.
Enjoy your energy,
The King

The Perpetual Education Fund
Education is the great stepping stone that leads humans to fulfillment, happiness, and success. It provides one with the necessary abilities to be self-sufficient. In order to help all americans to be self-sufficient and to eliminate the lower class or poverty level in our society, we need to allow for all americans to recieve an education.
In order to accomplish this we will be teaming up with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. To many this may seem like an unwise or even unconstitutional alliance...so let me explain. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints has set up an initative called the Perpetual Education Fund. This is a fund which anyone can donate to. From it they give educational loans. Typically these go to members of their church who are between the ages of 18 and 30, single or married, living a responsible life style, but who are in select under privilaged areas who other wise could not obtain education. Typically they will be studying something that can be completed in 1 to 2 years, many times it is vocational training. However, all these are limitations that had to be set because of the limitation of funds. If they are inudated...even overwhelmed with donations, these stipulations can be expanded to meet the needs of all americans, even all people. These loans have no interest while they are attending school and have a very low interest afterwards, typically around 3%. You might ask how is this any better than other government educational loans. The beauty of this program is that it is run on a volunteer basis, there is no overhead, no administrative costs...every penny put into the fund, stays in the fund. Even the interest goes 100% back into the fund to be given as more loans. The fund always gets bigger. As this fund grows, it will eventually become so big that the interest will be reduced to nothing as there will be enough there to cover everyones education. Now everyone can have the opportunity to learn and grow and create for themselves new opportunities.
We aren't taxing, or forcing anyone to donate to this fund. But we are pleading with all of you, as the american family, on behalf of our families, our children, and their children...lets make this happen. Everyone please donate as much as you can, as soon as you can, and as often as you can and lets educate our people and stregnthen our society as a whole.
As a part of this I am issuing a new mandate to all the colleges, universities, academies, and centers for learning...henceforth for every student in every major or educational path, the learning institution must have a career center that has a connection to an available job. There will no longer be 1000 graduates all fighting for 1 job...or no job. If there is no corresponding job, the learning institution must list it as recreational learning, and not list it as a major leading to a degree. This way, those who are studying for recreation only, may still take the classes they wish to, but those who believe there will be a job waiting for them at the end of the tunnel, have a better chance at getting one.
Again, everyone please donate as much as you can, as soon as you can, and as often as you can to the Perpetual Education Fund and lets educate our people and stregnthen our society as a whole.

America Goes Ethanol
Starting immediately, all cars will be made to run on ethanol, and systems will be put in place to retrofit existing cars with this capability. As a government we will cover this conversion from our homeland security and defense budget. Many people were hard set against ethanol because corn didn't work out well financially, but...
While almost every plant on earth has been investigated as an alternative energy resource, for some odd reason tobacco has been entirely overlooked. I call this odd because the high sugar & starch composition of tobacco is well-known, as is the very low lignin encasement of its cellulosic materials. With this data alone it should be clear to science, agriculture, and industry worldwide that the tobacco plant has a nearly ideal composition for direct digestion to ethanol, and is also an ideal candidate for biomethanation or gasification. Tobacco-based ethanol can be produced for far less cost per gallon, with far more economically valuable sidestreams, than corn-based ethanol ( see below for full details). It has also been conclusively demonstrated in lab and field trials in Europe in 2008 that by adding tobacco to manure a very, very significant enhancement of biogas production can be achieved. With biomass tobacco's demonstrated low costs of production, it is clear that biomass tobacco is the first cost-effective purpose-grown biogas substrate and ethanol feedstock. Further, it is known that tobacco is a heavily coppicing plant, enabling it to produce very high biomass tonnage, and it is also known that tobacco thrives on poor soils in a wide range of environments.
Perhaps the most attractive aspect of tobacco-based biomass fuel is that not only would tobacco fuel not take away from food crop production, as corn-based ethanol does, it would actually add immense tonnage of food-grade protein that can be extracted from the sludge remaining after ethanol is produced. Fraction-1 protein is an odorless, tasteless crystalline substance that can be extracted from tobacco, and it is a complete protein - as efficient a source of human food value as beef. It would be totally 'paid for' by the ethanol produced from the tobacco biomass, and so it would be, in effect, free food. It can be added to flour of all kinds and used to produce baked goods like bread and tortillas, adding enough high quality at no cost to these basic foods to practically eliminate protein deficiencies in even the poorest countries. Does this sound like a pipe dream? Please read on.
Another of tobacco's real advantages over all other biomass energy plants comes from its potential as a source of high quality, low cost animal feed. This property is supported by strong anecdotal evidence from commercial Tobacco farmers whose fields are sometime overrun with grazing animals who find a way in, but hasn't been proven in formal trials as far as I know. If it can be shown conclusively that cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and chickens accept and thrive on sweet, young, zero-nicotine biomass tobacco in various forms (grazed, ensilaged, pelletized, etc), then before energy is extracted from tobacco biomass, it can be fed to animals to produce ultra-low cost meat and dairy protein, eggs and other human foods. While it is likely that many of the limitations experienced in feeding the residues of ethanol production from corn and grain to animals will apply to both fresh tobacco biomass and to the residues of biogas and ethanol production from tobacco, it is also possible that by mixing a to-be-determined proportion of fresh biomass with their conventional feed, the cost of feeding animals can be lowered very significantly.
The manure from protein production can then be used as a rich energy feedstock for either liquid fuels or methane gas, and as a chemical feedstock for other co-products. It is this dual-use potential of biomass tobacco, combined with the economics and environmental advantages of production, which I believe makes it such an attractive candidate for investigation.
Here, briefly, are some of the major facts. When grown as biomass rather than for smoking, tobacco yields between 100-200 Tons/Acre of low-cost high value biomass materials. This production range, and fully accounted costs of @$1500-$2000/acre (USD) have been established in university trials. When grown as biomass there are none of the high costs, labor requirements, chemical inputs, or geographic restrictions associated with conventional tobacco production - in fact, we might as well be talking about two entirely different plants.
Tobacco biomass has multiple high value economic uses in renewable energy and sustainable food production, as well as in industrial agriculture applications. The dry weight yield for biomass tobacco is between 10-20% of wet weight, yielding 10 at a minimum and up to 40 at a maximum Dry Tons/Acre. This material is 25-28% highly digestible sugars, and 20-25% high quality protein. Tobacco's 40% cellulose is very low in both hemicellulose and in lignin. This means that Tobacco's cellulose is readily available for chemical digestion, like ethanol production without expensive added enzymes, or natural digestion, like for animal feed.
As livestock feed, biomass tobacco will probably cost well under $10/ton. With costs this low for high quality livestock feed, truly cost-competitive electric power production from manure becomes feasible. Also when directly digested for ethanol, the fermentable materials in tobacco biomass extrapolate to between 700 - 2500 gallons/acre, and the digested sludge remains an economically valuable material. Most of the world's agricultural regions are already familiar with production of commercial smoking tobacco, so a shift to production of tobacco as an energy crop would require minimal additional infrastructure/capital requirements and would produce minimal disruption to existing work patterns.
Everything considered, I believe that biomass tobacco production can mean between $4000-$6000 per acre net profit for any farm cooperative and even for many individual farmer/rancher/growers, depending on their available acreage. (Special thanks to our ministry of agriculture for uncovering this valuable information)
We can also use many other crops more sparingly that we already grow here in america such as: soy bean, potatoes, sweet potatoes, sugar beets, and sugar cane, depending on the region where particular crops grow best. These we will use more sparingly because they are food related but the tobacco (which again we already produce massive quantities of) will hence forth be used exclusively for ethanol.
This will free us from disputes with the middle east, help us to be more self-sufficient, and allow us to seek peaceful arangements with the middle east with more leverage. It will also help us live a more sustainable lifestyle environmentally.

Multicultural Marriages and Adoptions
Today I am implementing a tax credit for inter-racial marriages and adoptions. I have noticed that there is still a great divide in the different races within our country. Some races feel as though they are or have been victimized by the others. Some feel animosity towards other races. When the fact is, we are all americans...where ever our ancestry may come from or what our ancestors may have gone through at the hands of others...we today, are all americans.
And although we are all americans, I have noticed entirely different cultures and ways of thinking within different races. This is where a lot of our current poverty, crime, sickness, and sadness stem from. We need to unify these races so that all can partake of these opportunities and joys that are available to everyone, whether they currently realize it or not. As has been stated before, governments can't make this change, schools can't make this change, it is something that has to happen individually in the people...in the families.
To this end we will be offering an aditional $5000.00 tax credit for any inter-racial adoptions. All the current regulations on pre and post adoption checkups through a social-worker will have to be followed.
We will also be giving a tax credit for inter-racial marriages...this will be $1000.00 the first year of marriage, $2000.00 the second year of marriage, and so on until $5000.00 the fifth year of marriage.
We feel that this will incourage people to meet people of other races and in doing so many will realize the beauty and similarities that lie within all of us. We will unify the races, blend the borders, bind the people together as one. We will become more and more alike. We will still be individuals but with one goal, one heart, and one mind.
Enjoy the mending,
